Harley-Davidson introduced the Hydra-Glide Moniker cruiser in 1950. The "Hydra" part referred to the new hydraulic suspension, which greatly improved rider comfort during long rides. Now, the company has revealed the restored version as the 2024 Hydra-Glide Revival, which takes inspiration from its older version. This bike now features leather seats and saddlebags, both lockable and waterproof, which enhance its vintage appeal. The motorcycle has a teardrop-shaped headlight guiding the way. It also features the famous "batwing" fairing, a smooth windshield mounted on the front forks, helping to slice through the air. This bike has a classic two-tone "slash" paint design from 1956. Also, it returns in Redline Red and Birch White for the Hydra-Glide Revival. Inspired by a custom 1956 FLH, the solo seat and saddlebags are adorned with fringe and candy-coloured rosettes. Moreover, this bike has a ground clearance of 119.38 mm and a fuel tank capacity of 18 litres. Harley-Davidson Hydra Glide: Engine & Performance The Harley-Davidson Hydra-Glide Revival boasts a powerful Milwaukee-Eight 114 V-twin engine, producing 161 Nm of torque @ 3000 rpm and 94 hp @ 4750 rpm. This modern engine surpasses the old Panhead motor, which offers improved performance for modern highways. Moreover, it has a 6-speed gearbox with a chain primary drive that ensures smooth power delivery across various speeds. The bike features a high-flow air cleaner for better engine breathing. The Hydra-Glide Revival bike promises stability and control with balanced lean angles of 27.4 degrees on both sides. Harley-Davidson Hydra Glide: HardwareThe Harley-Davidson Hydra-Glide Revival features a robust hardware setup designed for a smooth and controlled ride. Its front fork utilises dual-bending valve technology with aluminium triple clamps for precise handling. The dual-rate spring and "beer can" covers add to its suspension's performance and style. Moreover, it has hidden coil-over monoshock shocks with cam-style preload adjustment with 43mm of a stroke at the rear end. This bike comes with chrome steel-laced wheels, both front and rear. It has a 4-piston fixed calliper at the front and 2-piston floating callipers at the rear end. Moreover, it has solid, uniform expansion rotors for reliable stopping power. The exhaust system features 2-into-2 shorty dual pipes with a catalyst in the muffler. Harley-Davidson Hydra Glide: Features The Harley-Davidson Hydra-Glide Revival comes equipped with advanced lighting systems to meet country regulations, including all-LED low beams, high beams, and signature position lamps. It features an incandescent Zeppelin tail lamp for classic styling and incandescent bullet lights for both front and rear turn signals. The bike also equips a 5-inch analogue speedometer with digital indicators for gear, odometer, fuel level, clock, trip, range, and tachometer readings. These features ensure visibility and convenience, enhancing the overall riding experience on the Hydra-Glide Revival.Each bike has its special serial number, making it even more special. There are only 1750 of these bikes worldwide, priced at around USD 24,999 (about Rs 20.69 lakh).
