Amazing Electric Two-Wheelers Set to Launch in 2025!
CalendarPublished on January 12, 2025 by BikeJunction
India's electric vehicle future appears bright as innovative motorcycles and scooters prepare for launch. These two-wheelers meet a variety of demands with features including high-tech interchangeable batteries and tough adventure designs. Let's examine five fascinating new electric models that promise sustainability, performance, and style. Top 5 Most-Awaited Bikes and ScootersThe market for electric two-wheelers is booming with anticipation as companies like Hero and Ola prepare to release new models in 2025. Explore some of the most anticipated bikes and scooters in detail that will be introduced this year. Gogoro 2 SeriesThe Gogoro 2 Series electric scooter, a global brand, is expected to launch in India in July 2025. It will be powered by a liquid-cooled permanent magnet synchronous motor. As a result, it will receive a maximum torque of 196Nm and a peak power of 7kW. Additionally, the scooter has a 170 km range at a cruising speed of 30 km/h. This scooter is on par with other high-end e-scooters on the market, such as the Ather 450X and Ola S1 Pro.  According to Gogoro, the newest third-generation swappable battery pack for the 2 Series can be changed in six seconds. It's quicker than filling up with petrol if that's accurate!  Ola AdventureThe Ola Adventure is likely to launch between April and September 2025. We expect it to be priced at around Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom). The Indian market still hasn't really seen electric adventure bikes, so even when it's here, it might not have any rivals. The Adventure electric bike has a futuristic design, and exact details are not yet revealed. It features a tall seat and dual-purpose tyres. Additionally, it comes with spoke wheels and hand guards for added protection. There is plenty of ground clearance for off-road riding. Overall, the bike looks rugged and tough.  Hero Electric AE8The brand-new AE-8 neo-retro electric scooter from Hero Electric was unveiled at the expo. It will likely arrive this year and is a part of Hero's Trend Series. With a single charge, the AE-8 can go 80 km and reach a maximum speed of 25 kmph. A fully digital instrument console and a full-LED headlamp with a halo LED DRL are also included. Additionally, the front apron appears to come with a unique-looking honeycomb design with a blue backlit. Suzuki Burgman ElectricAlmost in its production-ready avatar, Suzuki's Burgman Electric was caught testing on Pune's streets. At the same time, Suzuki expected to roll out its first Indian electric scooter, sometime around September 2025. Expect about 4kW power as the motor in this electric scooter. It may perform similarly to a 110cc petrol-powered scooter. That makes it adequate enough for most regular commutes up to around 90km on a full charge. Design-wise, Suzuki Burgman Electric resembles the Suzuki Burgman Street. It gets a telescopic fork, a disc brake, and a 12-inch alloy wheel at the front but has a twin shock absorber setup at the rear. The rear wheel is smaller and seems to be in the form of a 10-inch unit with a drum brake and CBS as well. Gogoro CrossoverThe Gogoro CrossOver GX250 has a very rugged and utilitarian electric scooter design. It consists of large body panels, a spacious floorboard and even a split-type seat that can be folded when not in use. Other than that, there is ample space for storage aboard the scooter. There are 26 locking points, allowing riders to further leverage 4 cargo areas for their needs. In the powertrain section, the CrossOver GX250 has a 2.5 kW Direct Drive with a top speed of 60+kmph and a certified range of 111km. The suspension includes a front telescopic fork and twin rear shock absorbers, with 176mm of ground clearance. Exciting new launches can be expected for India's scooter market this year. Modern technology and eco-friendly options can be expected. This year, new and improved models are likely to increase the size of the scooter market. Below is a list of the top 5 scooters that are soon to enter the Indian market. List of Top 5 Soon-to-be Launched ScootersScooters are popularly used as a mode of transportation because they are easy to use, fuel-efficient, and navigate heavy traffic. They are especially liked by urban families due to their affordability. Check out the list of upcoming scooters below: Hero Destini 125Hero MotoCorp revealed the facelift version of the Destini 125 in India back in September 2024. Its market launch is believed to happen soon during the Bharat Mobility Expo. But it's not announced yet. According to sources, it's to be priced at a level of between Rs 80,000 and Rs 85,000, ex-showroom. The new Destini 125 may possess a 124.6cc, single-cylinder engine that makes 9bhp and 10.4Nm of torque. Additionally, the scooter gets better handling due to the updated chassis. Three variants, VX, ZX, and ZX+, plus seven colour options, are available with the updated model. On top of that, it gets a projector LED headlight, LED taillight, H-shaped LED DRLs, a metal front fender, and moved turn indicators. Honda Activa eHonda Motorcycles & Scooters India will unveil the price of the electric Activa this year. The reservation began on January 1, and you can reserve this scooter for a mere amount of Rs 1000. The electric Activa will come with a direct-drive PMSM motor, which produces a peak torque of up to 22 Nm and 8 bhp. It features two 1.5kWh battery packs that have a 3kWh overall capacity. Moreover, it can go from 0 to 60 kmph in 7.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 80 kmph in this configuration. More importantly, it can go up to 102 km per charge. The price of the electric Activa is estimated to be around Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The electric Activa looks more modern and minimalistic compared to the normal ICE variant. Turn indicators and an LED DRL are positioned on either side of the centre LED headlight of the apron. Honda QC1The other popular Honda electric scooters include the QC1, which is designed with a fixed battery and is more for close riding use. It carries an in-wheel electric motor with a maximum torque of 77 Nm and a maximum power of 2.4 BHP, with a 1.5kWh battery that goes 80 km on one charge. Two modes are also given to the rider: Standard and Econ. The design of the electric Activa is influential on a few aspects of the QC1. There is a broad, curved seat and all-LED lighting. The scooter also comprises an all-flat floorboard and a fully digital display. It doesn't come with an LED Daytime Running Light, and the front aspect is not as elaborate as the Activa. The QC1 would be expected to start at Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom). Hero Xoom 125 RHero MotoCorp unveiled the Hero Xoom 125R at EICMA 2023, and the scooter will be available in the market this year. The new 125cc scooter has been spotted on many test drives lately. It has an aggressive LED headlight similar to the Hero Xtreme 125R. For comfort, it has a large pillion footrest, a split grab rail, and a sleek tail design with a split LED light setup. The Xoom 125R will also get a single-cylinder, 124.6cc air-cooled engine like the upgraded Destini 125. Hero MotoCorp might tweak this for the more performance-oriented Xoom, but this has not been confirmed yet.Regarding the features, Xoom 125R will sport LED indicators, Bluetooth connectivity, and a completely digital instrument cluster. The estimated price range might be between Rs 80,000 and Rs 90,000 (ex-showroom). Hero Xoom 160Hero's first maxi-scooter, the Xoom 160, has a big windscreen, small beak, and split LED headlights. All of these enhance its ADV-inspired appearance. Moreover, it appears broad and long from the side profile because of its long wheelbase and the central spine. Numerous advancements will be included in this scooter, such as LED lights, keyless starting, and smart seat opening. Additionally, it features a "smart find" option as well. This uses a button on the key fob to assist in finding the scooter in a parking lot. A 156cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine will power the Xoom 160. It can generate 13.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm and 14 bhp at 8,000 rpm. Additionally, a silent starter and a brands unique i3s stop-start technology are included. It is anticipated to retail for at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Before you go, check out the All New Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Spotted: Amazing Features and Design.Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fbInstagram-  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_instaTwitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter
