Hero MotoCorp has launched its new Vida V2 electric scooters in India. These scooters come in three variants, including V2 Lite, V2 Plus, and V2 Pro. This marks Hero’s entry into the sub-1-lakh EV segment with competitive pricing. The V2 Lite costs Rs. 96,000, while the V2 Plus is priced at Rs. 1,15,000. Moreover, the top model, V2 Pro, is available at Rs. 1,35,000. All prices are ex-showroom and include subsidies. Apart from this, the EV scooters also come in two new colours, including Matte Nexus Blue-Grey and Glossy Sports Red. Battery, Range, and Speed DetailsThe Vida V2 scooters feature advanced removable batteries. The V2 Lite has a 2.2 kWh battery and a 64 km range and a 69 kmph top speed. The another variant, V2 Plus has a 3.44 kWh battery and a 100 km range and an 85 kmph top speed. Apart from these, the V2 Pro has a 3.94 kWh battery and delivers best with 114 km range and a 90 kmph top speed. The batteries are IP67-rated for durability and charge up to 80% in six hours. All scooters are powered by a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. The V2 Pro accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.9 seconds. Advanced Features and ConvenienceHero has packed the Vida V2 with modern features for a better riding experience. All models include a 7-inch TFT touchscreen for navigation, telematics, and battery updates. Moreover, Vida V2 scooters feature keyless entry, cruise control, and follow-me-home lights, which add convenience. A regenerative braking system recharges the battery during deceleration. Furthermore, the V2 Pro offers four riding modes, including Eco, Ride, Sport, and Custom. The scooters comes with telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock ensure a smooth ride. The scooters also have alloy wheels, a front disc, and a rear drum brake. Warranty and CompetitionHero offers a five-year or 50,000 km warranty for the scooter and a three-year or 30,000 km battery warranty. Its extensive fast-charging network in 250 cities adds further appeal. In India's growing EV market, the Vida V2 competes with Ola S1, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, and Ather 450X.
