Zero FXE Electric Bike Seen Testing on Indian Roads
Zero FXE Electric Bike Seen Testing on Indian Roads
CalendarPublished on August 19, 2024 by BikeJunction
The Zero FXE electric bike was recently spotted testing around Bengaluru, Karnataka. When a motorcycle is tested, it often suggests a potential market launch in India. However, we don’t believe this will be the case here. Here’s why.   Pricing and Market Strategy for the Zero FXE  The Zero FXE is currently priced at $12,495 in the US about ₹10,49,092 in India. Given the high cost and premium positioning, a launch in India, where the market for such high-end electric bikes is limited, is unlikely. We believe that Zero is collaborating with Hero MotoCorp to test its existing models in the Indian environment, gathering data to develop India-specific EVs in the near future.   This strategy will enable Hero to compete with emerging players in the electric bike market, such as Ola Electric, which recently introduced its Ola Roadster series, and other brands like Revolt and Tork.   Performance, Design, and Specifications Zero currently manufactures top-of-the-line performance electric bikes, and the FXE is a supermoto-style bike. It features a traditional supermoto design with sharp bodywork and a swish, streamlined profile.   The bike comes with a 7.2 kWh battery, which will increase its predicted range to around 168km. It is powered by a 34kW (46PS) motor that produces a top torque of 106Nm, enabling the bike to attain a claimed top speed of 136kmph.   The Zero FXE features a 41mm Showa inverted fork and a 40mm Showa monoshock for suspension. It has 17-inch alloy wheels front and rear, 110-section front, and 144-section rear Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres. Braking is controlled by a 320 mm, and the front disc is 240 mm.  Curious to know if the KTM Offers Complimentary Top-Box with Purchase of 390 Adventure and 250 Adventure.
