Hero's first electric scooter broke an earlier record by 350km, running continuously for 24 hours. With this record, the Vida V1 Electric Scooter earned a Guinness World Record titled 'The Greatest Distance on an Electric Scooter in 24 hrs by a Team in Relay is 1,780 kms’. The record was achieved by Hero MotoCorps Vida V1 at Hero Center for Innovation and Technology (CIT) Jaipur, India, from 20 to 21 April 2023'.When the Record Was Attemped?Vida V1 has a removable battery and best-in-class performance, range and top speed. This record indicates the better product of this company and its better performance in any weather. The 6-member team that attempted the record began their journey at 6:45 a.m. on April 20. Riders took turns on the journey, the team broke the previous record at 2 a.m. on April 21, and its last round was completed at 6:45 this morning. Overtakes Previous Record HolderPreviously, the World Record was set by a European Company Scooter in October 2022 for the longest distance travel of 1430 km by an electric scooter. However, the Vida V1 Pro, an electric scooter from an Indian company, broke that record by a significant margin in the 19th hour of its run.During this journey, a team of CIT Jaipur engineers supported battery swapping, maintaining an average speed of 74.16 kph. In which most of the brakes were completed within 20 seconds. Responding to this record, the company said that this record would work to promote the entire EV sector, including Vida V1 and assure the customers that electric vehicles are also ready with better performance.
