Royal Enfield launched its first bike in 2025, the Scram 440. The new motorcycle’s price starts at Rs. 2.08 lakh for the Trail variant and Rs. 2.15 lakh for the Force variant (ex-showroom). It features a more powerful engine, updated features, and new colour options. Here’s everything you need to know about Royal Enfield’s latest offering.
The Scram 440 is powered by a 443cc air/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine. It delivers 25.4hp at 6,250rpm and 34Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. The engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox, which is a step up from the Scram 411’s 5-speed unit. The extra gear enhances highway cruising. Additionally, Royal Enfield has refined the engine with a smoother valvetrain to reduce noise and vibrations.
Royal Enfield has strengthened the Scram 440’s chassis to improve durability and load capacity. Riders can now mount a top box with a 10kg payload. The bike is equipped with switchable dual-channel ABS for safety and an LED headlight for better visibility. Moreover, it weighs 197kg with a full 15-litre fuel tank, just 2kg more than its predecessor.
The Scram 440 comes in two variants, including Trail and Force. The Trail variant features 19-inch and 17-inch spoke wheels with tube-type tyres. The Force variant gets alloy wheels, allowing tubeless tyres for added convenience. Both variants use telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock for suspension. Apart from this, the bike is handled by single discs at both ends.
The Scram 440 retains the rugged styling of the Scram 411 but adds new colours. It has a round headlight with a small cowl, a large fuel tank, and a slim tail section. The Trail variant is available in Trail Green and Trail Blue, while the Force variant comes in Force Teal, Force Grey, and Force Blue.
