Piaggio India has launched the 2025 lineup of its Vespa 125cc scooters. The company introduced four models, including the Vespa 125, Vespa S 125, Vespa Tech 125, and Vespa S Tech 125.
The prices start at Rs. 1.33 lakh for the base model, while the top-end model costs Rs. 1.96 lakh. The new models are set to be available from February 25, 2025, with deliveries starting in March. These scooters come with a fresh look, improved engine performance, and more tech features.
The 2025 Vespa range brings a fresh set of colours and designs. The base model, Vespa 125, is now available in seven attractive shades. You can choose from Verde Amabile, Rosso Red, Pearl White, Nero Black, Azzurro Provenza, and two dual-tone combinations (Blue & Pearl White, Orange & Pearl White).
The Vespa S 125 offers eight colour options, including the unique "Oro" (gold-tinted), a nod to India’s love for gold. The S 125 has matte finishes and other bold colours like Giallo Yellow (Matte) and Arancio Impulsivo. These new colours make the scooter even more appealing to a wide audience.
Moreover, the Vespa Tech 125 and Vespa S Tech 125 have exclusive special edition colours and finishes. The Vespa Tech 125 is available in Qala (Special Edition), Energico Blue, and Grigio Grey. The S Tech 125 comes in two shades, including Nero Black (Matte) and Pearl White. These stylish colours help the top-end models stand out.
The updated Vespa 125cc models come laden with new features. The Vespa Tech 125 and S Tech 125 feature a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. Using the scooter with your smartphone in the pocket via Bluetooth, one can easily keep abreast of all notifications from their phone on the scooter itself. Another important feature is that of keyless ignition, thus eliminating the problem of having a physical key with which to unlock the scooter for ignition.
These features are provided with advanced convenience and a better riding experience. The top-of-the-line variants include Vespa Tech 125 and S Tech 125, which also received some restyling and added extras to make them tech-savvy and comfortable at the same time.
The new Vespa scooters have received a small but significant performance bump with a 125cc engine. It delivers 9.5 bhp @ 7,100rpm and 10.1Nm of torque @ 5,600rpm. What this does is make the scooter feel more responsive and easy to run on the road. The CVT has also been improved for better power delivery.
The Vespa 125cc engines are more powerful than earlier models and are suitable for daily commuting and city rides. Though a slight boost in performance gets developed, fuel efficiency will be kept intact, making Vespa enthusiasts happy.
