The Austrian motorcycle brand has unveiled its long-awaited off-road bike at India Bike Week. In Goa event, the company has stated that KTM 390 Enduro R is a very light weight option for off-road enthusiasts.
KTM claims that the 390 Enduro R has a compact look with high-performance capabilities. The company will launch this one alongside the 390 Adventure at Rs 3.3 lakh (ex-showroom) in January 2025, but bookings open on December 10, 2024.
KTM 390 Enduro R features a minimalist, classic enduro design. It includes an elevated front fender and streamlined bodywork. Also, it features a long, flat seat and higher handlebars to ensure comfort in off-road rides. The KTM motorcycle comes with the design at the rear end slimmer than before to enhance manoeuvrability in off-roading conditions.
The upside-down fork is provided at the front and adjustable monoshock suspension is at the rear end. Additionally, the seat height is lower compared to the 390 Adventure, making it more accessible.
Unlike the 390 Adventure, the Enduro R has basic features. It includes a simple LCD console and a button to disable ABS. Additionally, it offers a USB Type-C charging port and may include off-road riding modes.
The 390 Enduro R uses the same engine as the KTM Duke 390. The 399cc engine produces 46 PS and 39 Nm torque. It also features a six-speed gearbox, slip-and-assist clutch, and quickshifter, which enhance its performance. To provide a better off-road response, KTM may tweak the gear ratios and add a larger sprocket.
KTM’s display at the Indian Bike Week 2024 generated excitement among biking enthusiasts. The Enduro R’s debut follows its earlier showcase at EICMA 2024. Stay tuned for more details during the Bharat Global Mobility Expo in January.
