KTM 390 Enduro R Launched in India at Rs 3.36 Lakh: Know What’s New!

KTM has finally launched the much-awaited 390 Enduro R in India. This motorcycle is priced at Rs 3.36 lakh (ex-showroom), and it is Rs 30,000 cheaper than the 390 Adventure. This India-specific version is slightly different from the international model, but it still brings solid off-road performance.

KTM fans had been eagerly waiting for this model, and now it’s here, though with a few compromises. Let’s take a closer look at what this bike brings to the Indian market.

India-Spec vs International Model

KTM 390 Enduro R Bike The India-spec model is slightly different from the international one. The suspension setup is the same as the KTM 390 Adventure, with 200mm travel at the front and 205mm at the rear. The international model, on the other hand, gets 230mm of suspension travel at both ends.

Even though the suspension is shared with the Adventure, KTM has tweaked it for better off-road performance. Moreover, the India-spec model has a high ground clearance of 253mm and a seat height of 860mm. These figures are good for rough terrain and trail riding.

The international model will come to India later this year. It will have more suspension travel, higher ground clearance, and a taller seat height of 890mm. It will also weigh less due to fewer parts required for Indian roads and rules.

The India-spec KTM 390 Enduro R weighs 177 kg. This is heavier than the global model because of parts like the saree guard and crash guards. Even with the extra weight, the bike still feels lighter and more agile due to its slim body design.

Engine Performance & Specifications

KTM 390 Enduro R Bike Engine The 390 Enduro R packs the same 399cc single-cylinder engine as the 390 Adventure. It makes 45.3 bhp of power and 39 Nm of torque. This motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. Moreover, the bike gets a 48-tooth rear sprocket for better low-end power. This means it pulls harder at lower speeds, which is perfect for trails and steep climbs.

This motorcycle runs on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels. It uses Mitas Enduro Trail tyres, which offer great grip on dirt. Furthermore, it has fully adjustable WP Apex suspension, allowing riders to tune the bike to their comfort.

Disc brakes on both ends handle braking. KTM also allows the ABS to be fully switched off, which is helpful while riding off-road. That’s a great feature for riders who enjoy sliding and tackling rough surfaces.

Features and Tech

KTM 390 Enduro R Features It has a 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth, LED lighting, traction control, and two ride modes. KTM also offers a quickshifter as an optional accessory. The bike carries a 9-litre fuel tank, which should be enough for long trail rides. KTM has designed this bike to sit between the 390 Adventure and hardcore rally bikes.

KTM fans had been asking for a bike like this for years. Now, it’s finally here. Sure, it doesn’t get everything the global model offers. But KTM has promised to launch the international-spec variant soon.
