Hero MotoCorp is starting 2025 with the much-awaited Hero Xtreme 250R. This bike will launch on January 19 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in New Delhi. It marks Hero's first step into the 250cc motorcycle segment. Moreover, the bike was recently spotted in Delhi during a TV commercial shoot. Hero has clearly worked hard to create this stunning streetfighter.
Hero Xtreme 250R competes with the KTM 250 Duke and Husqvarna Vitpilen 250. Its starting price is expected to be around Rs 2 to 2.2 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has also announced the Karizma XMR 250 and Xpulse 210, which will launch at the same event. Let’s know more about it.
Hero Xtreme 250R stands out with its bold, sporty design. It features a sharp angular LED headlight with integrated DRLs. The bike also has a muscular fuel tank and neatly integrated tank extensions. Furthermore, its sharp tail section adds to the sporty look. The dual-tone red and white colourway makes the bike eye-catching. Moreover, its steel trellis frame, 43mm USD forks, and adjustable rear monoshock provide solid support.
Underneath, the Xtreme 250R packs a punch with a 250cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine. It delivers 30 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 25 Nm at 7,250 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox, and the bike goes from 0 to 60 kmph in just 3.25 seconds.
Furthermore, it features lightweight 17-inch wheels with wide tyres for excellent grip. This 250cc TVS bike comes with front and rear disc brakes with switchable ABS. The bike also includes a digital instrument cluster with a lap timer and Bluetooth connectivity. Riders can enjoy music, navigation, and even calls while riding.
