For adventure bike rides, people usually prefer Hero XPulse 200 4V Pro Dakar or the Yezdi Adventure. Both have been designed specifically for an off-road adventure ride and are built for the exact purpose. Yet, what features and designs may attract one type of rider as opposed to the other? The Yezdi Adventure falls in the range of Rs 2.10 lakh to Rs 2.20 lakh, and the XPulse 200 Pro Dakar is priced at Rs. 1.68 lakh. Let's first take a look at these adventure bikes in detail. Design and Looks
Both bikes are made for off-roading, but they look different. The XPulse 200 has a round headlight and a beak-shaped mudguard, which makes it look tough. It also has knuckle guards to keep your hands safe while riding. In contrast, the Yezdi Adventure is bigger and stands out more on the road, so if you want a larger bike, you might like the Yezdi better.
Now, let's discuss the engine performance. Both of these bikes have significantly different engines, but they do have the punch. The XPulse 200 comes with a 199.6cc engine producing 18.9 bhp and 17.35 Nm of torque, which is coupled with a 5-speed gearbox. It's an ideal bike for city rides as well as off-road adventures.
The Yezdi Adventure has a slightly bigger 334cc engine with 29.79 bhp and more torque at 29.9 Nm. This bike's 6-speed gearbox goes smoothly for long rides; hence, it is easier to handle when you wish to have more torque for travelling uphill or carrying loads; the Yezdi Adventure would be the better alternative.
Another aspect to look for when buying a bike is comfort. Both XPulse and Yezdi come with quite decent suspension systems for off-roading. XPulse features an advanced suspension setup with adjustable features that can provide up to 250 mm of travel in the front and rear. It also has a seat height of 891 mm, making it one of the tallest bikes in its class.
On the other hand, Yezdi Adventure has a seat height of 815 mm and is heavier in weight at 188 kg compared to the XPulse, which has a relatively lighter weight at 161 kg. So, if you want to have a lighter bike that is more manageable, XPulse is good for you.
Regarding features and technology, both these bikes have quite handy gadgets for riders. Yezdi Adventure features an LCD instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation, plus a USB charger for all your devices.
The XPulse, on the other hand, has an LCD but gives three ABS modes: Road, Off-road, and Rally. It comes with a USB charging port and a luggage plate, which is useful in case of trips. So, while both bikes have fantastic features, XPulse provides more riding options.
