The Hero MotoCorp Xoom 125 and Xoom 160 were the first models in their Xoom scooter line. Although the latter is a true Maxi style, the former has a somewhat different strategy with a design that is both sporty and attractive. The Ntorq 125, the sportiest 125cc scooter available, is a direct competitor. Let us examine the relative performance of these two sporty-looking 125cc bikes. The Hero Xoom 125 is powered by a 124.6 cc engine that can produce a maximum torque of 10.4 Nm at 6,000 rpm and 9.8 bhp at 7,250 rpm. The Hero Xoom 125 has a 0–60 kmph sprint time of 7.6 seconds, making it one of the quickest scooters in its class.
On the other hand, the TVS Ntorq 125 is powered by a 124.8 cc three-valve engine that produces a maximum torque of 10.6 Nm at 5,500 rpm and 10 kW at 7,000 rpm. The maximum speed it can reach is 95 kmph, and it takes 6.7 seconds to run from 0 to 60 kmph.
The Hero Xoom 125 is a reasonably well-equipped scooter with features like LED head and tail lights and a digital instrument cluster. Moreover, it has first-in-segment sequential LED turn indicators, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and an illuminated start button. Furthermore, it has a USB charging port and a phone charger in the front glove box.
On the contrary, The Xoom 125 and TVS Ntorq have similar features, such as LED lights and a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. Additionally, it has a USB charging port and Navigation assist. Nonetheless, the TVS Ntorq has an advantage because of its additional intelligent features. In terms of hardware, the Xoom and Ntorq are identical therefore, there is no difference between them. Both the scooters are built on the underbone chassis and Telescopic front forks. The sole significant distinction is that the Xoom 125 has the biggest alloy wheels in its class, at 14 inches. Instead, the Ntorq uses 12-inch modules for rolling.
The TVS NTorq is priced in the range of ₹ 86,841 - 1.06 Lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, Hero Xoom 125 is priced in the range of ₹ 86,900 - 92,900 (ex-showroom). The top model of the TVS NTorq 125 is much more expensive than the top-end variant of the Xoom 125.
