Suzuki Motorcycle India has just launched its first-ever flex-fuel bike, the Gixxer SF 250. This exciting launch took place on the first day of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in Delhi. The bike is priced at Rs. 2.17 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it Rs. 11,000 to Rs. 25,000 costlier than the standard model. This fuel-flex motorcycle offers advanced fuel flexibility and strong performance. Let us know more about it.
To run on E85 fuel, Suzuki has made key upgrades. It now has a modified fuel injector, fuel filter, and a new fuel pump. Moreover, the ECU, intake and exhaust valves, and fuel gauge have also been updated. These changes help the bike use ethanol fuel efficiently. Suzuki might use these upgrades in more bikes in the future.
The Gixxer SF 250 Flex Fuel packs a punch with its performance. It delivers 27.9hp on E85 fuel and 27.2hp on E20 fuel. Furthermore, it generates a torque of 22.5Nm, no matter the fuel mix. This bike uses the same six-speed gearbox as the standard model. However, Suzuki hasn’t mentioned any updates to the gearbox.
Suzuki has kept the design and features the same as the regular Gixxer SF 250. It looks sleek and modern. You can choose between two stunning colours, including Matte Black and Matte Red. Moreover, the company has revealed that bookings for this fuel-flex bike will start soon.
