Bajaj Launches Most Affordable Chetak 3503 at Rs 1.10 Lakh

Bajaj has launched its most affordable Chetak electric scooter, the Chetak 3503. It is priced at Rs 1.10 lakh, which is almost Rs 20,000 cheaper than the 3501 model. Bajaj wanted to make the Chetak lineup more accessible for Indian buyers. Moreover, the company achieved this by offering fewer features without compromising much on battery or range. Major Changes in Bajaj Chetak 3503

The Chetak 3503 uses the same 3.5 kWh battery as the other 35 series models. However, the top speed is lower at 63 kmph compared to the other variants. Moreover, the claimed riding range is slightly better at 155km on a full charge. The scooter also shares the same strong metal body and big 35-litre boot space. Furthermore, it has two riding modes: Eco and Sports, like the expensive models.

Features and Design Updates

 
To reduce the price, Bajaj has simplified the feature list of the Bajaj Chetak 3503. It comes with a colour LCD display offering basic Bluetooth connectivity. Moreover, it skips sequential turn indicators seen on higher variants. The front brake is a drum instead of a disc, making it simpler and affordable. Also, charging is a little slower, taking around 3 hours 25 minutes to reach 80%. Still, it retains features like hill-hold assist, offering convenience on slopes.

Colours, Pricing, and Rivals

The Chetak 3503 is available in four attractive colours: Indigo Blue, Brooklyn Black, Cyber White, and Matt Grey. The scooter is priced at Rs. 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it a value-for-money option. Moreover, bookings have already started online, and deliveries will begin from the first week of May. The Chetak 3503 will compete with scooters like Ather Rizta S, Ola S1 X+, and TVS iQube 3.4.
